Customer needed to develop a new

plastic cap for their existing product

line up. Their previous solution did not

seal 100% with the plastic bottle. As this kit was used as a covid test set, proper sealing was of paramount importance.

Objectives

Redesign the geometry of the top, to properly seal the bottle.
Reduction in weight (compare to previous design) in order to reduce manufacturing cost.

Manufacturing Methods

Injection molding.
